The Local Government Collaborative

The Orange County Local Government Affordable Housing Collaborative, or “the Collaborative”, was created to increase affordable housing collaboration among the local governments in Orange County.  The Collaborative is made up of elected officials and affordable housing staff from the Towns of Chapel Hill, Carrboro, and Hillsborough, and Orange County. 

In addition to quarterly meetings with elected officials, affordable housing staff meet monthly to:

• Strategize around affordable housing

• Develop and track shared targets

• Provide guidance on administration of federal HOME funds

• Serve as advocates for affordable housing in Orange County
